Ghost Hunting 101:
Pictures of Interest and Interesting Pictures
In a recent investigation, we took some pictures that, on the small
screen of my digital camera, seemed to indicate some supernatural activity. However, when
displayed on the larger screen of my computer, they were found to have a natural source. While
these pictures are not "Faked" in any real sense of the word, they did display how some
pictures can be misinterpreted. Permit me to illustrate.
Below we have a picture, that, upon first glance seems a little odd. This considering
the fact that the entire wall in the picture is actually all the exact same color
pattern. The light rectangle seems to have no source and might be viewed as of possibly
"supernatural origin". But, in truth, light coming in a window (off camera to the left)
was reflecting off the glass of the picture to the right of the light rectangle and the
rectangle was nothing more than the same thing you get when you use a piece of glass
to bounce light around a room.

This next picture, when viewed in this edited form, appears also to be of some strange origin.

But, when it is seen in its full form (below) you can plainly see that it too is nothing
more than multiple light refractions and reflections.

The light, coming in from the upstairs window, reflected several times off the multiple
picture glasses on either side of the stairway. All that is needed is to add just a
TINY bit of dust (such as would enter a house when some people enter from the outside -
These steps were directly in line with the entry door) and you get exactly what you
see here.
Now, on the small screen of the digital camera, the window and the picture glass is
not readily apparent. It was only upon analyzing the picture on my larger computer
screen that the true source of the image was revealed.
In truth, you can shoot MBs and MBs of digital pictures (or rolls and rolls of film)
and find absolutely nothing. But, if you don't take the pictures, you will also get
absolutely nothing. If you take the pics, you will at least stand a chance of capturing
something, and maybe will get a few nice pictures of scenery in the process.
