Location: Old business building where the upstairs has been turned into offices,
Starting time for investigation: 8:00 pm EDT.
After a short conversation, at a nearby restaurant (to determine exactly what has been happening in the offices), we checked our gear and started up the stairs.
Right away, my meter was acting strange. Since I have the ability to mess up the readings of a standard EMF meter ( a testing for body electricity can be used to confirm this should somebody want to check themselves), I use a meter that can pick up
the AF, sub-AF, and RF emissions from the wiring and lights inside a structure. Not three steps inside the doorway, my meter went to zero. This indicates that something
is emitting an Electrostatic field and blocking the emissions of the flourescent lights and building wiring. These reading continued throughout most of the upstairs area. The only area that I got consistantly normal readings was in the subjects personal office.
The light flair you see, in the center of the picture (below), had sharply defined edges. The foggy area shown in this picture was not visible to the naked eye. The MSA member pictured described a sensation of having somebody placing a hand on his shoulder about the time this picture was taken.
In one of the outer offices we encountered an air conditioner that was behaving very strangely.
This was one of the nicer units, with a digital temperature setting system (you can click the temnperature up or down, one degree at a time, until you have it where you want it).
It was set at 87 degrees. I initially turned it down to 76 degrees. After about 20 seconds, the temperature setting came back up, one degree at a time (while I was watching it), until it was at 87.
Next, I turned the temperature setting up until it reached 96 degrees. After about the same amount of time, the temperature setting came back down, one degree at a time, until it again was at 87.
Before you say that it was just returning to the temperature of the room (like a digital thermostat would show the room temperature), there was a thermostat on the opposite wall that said the room temp was 92 degrees.
We had a few "sightings" while we were there. Here is a pcture of one of them (the foggy area near the top of the doorway).
We also had an interesting case of seeing something with our eyes that our digital cameras could not see.
The lighter colored area on the white wall (now dark gray due to the waning light outside), to the human eye, has a large, dark shadow on it. however, the digital camera screens show only the light from the nearby window and the small, slightly grey area seen here in the middle. I cannot be certain of what was causing the difference in what I could see and what the camera could see.
Here is another interesting shot. The almost question mark shaped area, in the middle of this picture is not on the wall. But it showed up in the picture.
The strange readings I was getting on my meter were intermittant in this room (note the fuse box in the corner). And they
seemed to move about the room. The best concept I can think of, to describe this, would be if something was "nervously pacing" around in the room.
There was also a flourescent light that seemed to be blinking out a message in morse code. As I am an amateur radio operator, I was able to confirm a repeating message the first time I noticed the light (a bit too fast to get all the letters though). The second time I was in the room, the blinking pattern had changed. For some reason though, it was coming across with my ham radio call sign. The last time I was in the room, the blinking seemed to have no pattern at all.
To be totally fair to the sceptics out there, the first time might have been wishful thinking, but my ham call sign is fairly unique, so random blinks would not account for it's repeated, sequential, transmission.
Some of the sensitives in the group reported contact with several spirits, including a young girl from the 1800s, who seemed to either have been held here or was hiding here from somebody. As I had no contact with this spirit, I prefer not to expand on this information in my report.
Since a full history of this location is not known, I would recommend researching the history of the building to see if a return trip is warranted.
